HTTP POST?

Is it possible to do an HTTP POST with the 7650? I assumed yes, since there is an HTTP POST example in the MIDP 1.0 API doc. But now I was reading at http://www.wideboard.dk/series60.html:

"One disappointment was the bandwith. Having only the simplest protocol available (HTTP GET, single-thread), prohibits us from showing one of WideBoard's strengths: The very fast client update, which can be experienced in the PC client. As it is, it takes up to 10 seconds or more after zooming-in or panning, before the screen is updated. Hopefully, this will be improved in the future. One feature that would improve this would be HTTP POST, which should be moderately easy to implement in a future firmware version for the phone?"

Am I missing something here?

Http POST is supported, and connection over gprs is quite fast.
