How do i exclude a hidden app from the list of open apps?

I have an application (App_A) that is launched from the main menu. At some stage App_A launches another application (App_B).

App_B is a hidden application. It obeys its hidden flag (declared in the reg file) by not appearing in the main menu. Unfortunately it still appears in the list of open apps; something I do not want.

I'm working on 3rd Edition. I did find an article on here but it didn't work (the article stated it was for 1st and 2nd edition, so i guess it is no wonder it didn't work).

Can anyone help me exclude my hidden application from the list of open apps when it is running?
