optimization

i am working on project of j2me.i am also using obfuscation through
proguard but i want more optimization in terms of jar size,memory leaks,memory over uses, etc.
so i want to know that what points should i consider and how to achieve that points.
simply i want to highly optimize my code in terms of memory.

btw memory leaks u cant actually optimize :P u should try to rule them ou though
the memory monitor in netbeans can be pretty handy for that
