MWS location does not work

Hi

is there a reason why my location is not updated on my mobile website. Location should use GPS m- btw, I have tested that with location via network, too. Same result, no location.
I am running MWS on E71.
My only guess is that I need to sign the SIS, but before doing that I would appreciate if someone could tell me if this is the right way.

is somebody running MWS on i.e N95, having embedded GPS?
I wish to know if N95 returns location via network or via GPS (prefered) to the mobsite.

I have it working (not sure if GPS is turned on right now as I've got a slew of other apps open at the moment though); sometimes it seems to not reinitialize the GPS posisitoning if the signal gets lost.

The E71 was pretty stubborn in holding onto GPS; my N95 is less so, but not by much.

I checked your location under Presence on your mobsite... no location visible right now... but maybe it works sometimes?
So did you sign the MWS SIS?
Or are you using PAMP?

I didn't sign MWS, nor am using PAMP; however, it is set to look for GPS and I'm in the middle of a building (or was when you came to my site). I've changed it to CellID based, and hopefully that will help track down this issue.

Interesting; its NOT working for me and I've got GPS open and looking at my current position now on my N95. I've got no clue what happened, but maybe that's just something the next update will address (sorry, not enough of a developer to figure out this one).

The location service is a bit unstable in a building. I can understand that for GPS, but not really for Cell service. Anyway, it works for me if the handset is outside or at the window.

The cell-id based location can be unrealiable as well, it's something we cannot help within MWS.

Note that you can set up which method MWS uses on the Presence page, and to be extra sure you can enable/disable Location methods in S60 General settings.
