JSR205 on 6300

Is it possible? I have a test app that sends a multipart text and image message. It works fine on an N82. On a 6300 it reports no exceptions, but no message ever arrives. Outside of the app no message is displayed in the Sent Messages folder, and there is no delivery report. When sending I get the confirmation screen and then the pop-up message "Message was queued for sending". No errors, but nothing arrives. And I'm using the same sim card in both phones.

I guess it is possible.

It says on this page that Nokia 6300 does support JSR 205 Wireless Messaging API.

Yeah, I know it *says* compatible...but has anyone actually made it work in practice? We all know the documentation should be taken with a pinch of salt, to say the least.

If the app threw an exception then I know it's the code...but it doesn't. So is JSR 205 really supported on 6300?

6300 supports JSR-205 (MMS API).

Can you send an MMS manually from the phone (so that you know that the settings are correct on the phone)?

1. MMS works fine outside of the app, for send and receive
2. There are no error messages
3. The usual confirmation popups appear when sending

But nothing is sent.

Hmmm... could this be about network access point issues as well...

On Series 40 phones you need to configure a predefined access point for the MIDlets so that the can connect to the network. Have you got that properly defined (so that other MIDlets can connect to the network, checking with the browser is not enough in this case...)
