Pause video recording

I am using RecordControl to take an video recording. May I know is there a way I can pause the recording process and start it back at the time I like

Dear snoopyAU
you can use stopRecord()..it doesn't exit the player its just make like pause and to resume start the player again startRecord()..to close the player final use commit()
