    Hi,

    I want to know, if i download a SIS file from my server, where it will get downloaded eg: "Application fldr", "file mgr folder" etc.

    and also plz tell me what are the prblms may occur or things to be considered while doing the action.

    i have downloaded with the built-in browser and all are downloaded to:
    E:\System\dmgr\

    Viswa ..I think you have to tell us your phone model and the web browser you are using ..whatever in S60 1st and 2nd edition mobiles , if you download the sis file from built-in web browser then it goes to c:\system\temp\ but only resides there for a minute and as soon as you will install it , it desappears (delete) ..

    on S60v3 it happens the same thing. he just have to leave the installer in background, run X-Plore or any other good file manager and get that file. on S60v3 it is here: E:\System\dmgr\

    i have N73 and N72, i'm testing on both of these mobiles.

    any suggestion on the following scenario.

    i hv an application. if i click on the application icon,
    "abc.sis or jar" has to get downloaded to the folder where the application is installed. how this can be done.

    Make sure you configure your web sever correctly for sis, sisx, jar and jad MIME types. If the server doesn't send the correct HTTP headers, the phone(s) are not likely to be able to do the right thing with the downloaded content (e.g., launch the application installation).
