Based on your description it does not sound that it is a glitch, but a designed feature. Would it be possible to add a reference picture so that we could have a better idea why that key icon symbol is next to the icon.
Also, is your MIDlet signed or not signed?

I think that is not a graphical glitch. The key refers to lockes or sigend application.
But the problem with the icons is, it gets distorted.
Nothing. It is something coming from the OS and you cannot change the behavior.

I have the same issue, i have tried both uncertified and certified midlet's with different sizes (also the known correct sizes from nokia) but still this "Red Key" icon is shown above the midlet icon. It would be nice with a comment from a Nokia developer or such.
Hi,
As Hartti has already write the post that its a behaviour of the OS and that any one of us cannot change...
You can just check for the best fit icon sizes from the link I have given..
Thanks,
