And no need to post the same question several times in different places on the same site: http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...d.php?t=143886

What do you mean by "both"? Your phone is either S60 or Series 40, there's no "both". Which Nokia 6600 are you actually using?

Nokia 6600 - http://www.forum.nokia.com/devices/6600 - is a S60 2nd Edition phone while the article in the wiki suggest that the feature is available since S60 3rd Edition FP2.

By the looks of it you need to find another:
    • device
    • programming language
    • project
    • any/all of the above

You should really discuss this topic with Java developers in the Java forums. Only after resolving the details of accessign the info should you concern yourself with using that info for LBS purposes.

As the wiki page suggests that the feature is supported starting with S60 3rd Edtion FP2 (or later). Alternatively look for Series 40 3rd Edition FP1 (and later).

You can see the devices that support these platforms at http://www.forum.nokia.com/devices/matrix_all_1.html

Nokia 2600 Classic - http://www.forum.nokia.com/devices/2600_classic - Series 40 5th Edition LE satisfies the "(and later)" condition therefore you should be able to retrieve the info. I'm a bit concerned about it being LE (light edition ?) but it should take you two minutes to try it, now that you have the relevant code from the previous tests. Also check the signing requirements.
