concurrent http connection on N80

Hi,

I developed an application Midlet on N80 which has to be connected to a PC via http all the time while it is running. Within this midlet, I need to open another http connection to fetch and play a video file. This forms a concurent http connection situation. And the http connection for video file never succeed. So my question is, though it is said up to 4 http connection can be allowed by MIDP, the N80 firmware can only allow one http connection at a time? If it is not, how can I make it work?

i think u need to open second connection in separate thread.

I tried, using a new thread for the second connection made no difference. It still did not work.

Update. I made it work. What I found out is

1) Normal run worked whereas a new thread did not work.
2) I got rid of the Midlet-permissions for http, socket, serversocket etc.

I am not convinced, but it worked.
