-46 error in RConnection::Open

Hi,

I am getting -46 error in RConnection open. I know that it is KErrPermissionDenied but I have the required capability NetworkControl. Could anyone tell me what is wrong with the call or when it can occur any possible hint.

Re-check. In some rare occasions capabilities may not reach the output .exe files.
You can check your actual capabilities via
petran -dump s your.exe

I have checked cross checked I couldn't find any mistake with capabilities. One thing I have forgot to mention is I am trying to open a connection already opened by passing the connection name. Could there be any possible situation which could cause -46 other the capabilites.

I have never tried that. A thing you can still check is doing this in the emulator and checking Epocwind.out (http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/Epocwind.out) if it contains some warnings about an additional missing capability.
