How can I draw graphics and video

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to make an application to take snapshots using Canvas J2ME...(already finished), but I'd like to know if it is possible to draw some Graphics infront of the videoDisplay of the cell... Cos I tryed to draw a rectangle infront of the video but I couldn't

If you can help me with this trouble it would be very appreciated...

to draw anything on top of a video you need to use OverlayControl from JSR 234. But, this (as the whole javax.microedition.amms.control.imageeffect package) is not currently supported on Nokia phones.

I guess I should stick to JSR-234 for Nokia devices. But this will limit my application to the latest phones (S60 3rd Ed, S40 5th Ed) only.

Nokia devices currently do not support the JSR-234 javax.microedition.amms.control.imageeffect package, as told here:

Without this package (and so, without OverlayControl) you'll not be able to draw images on top of video or still image, even if you use JSR-234.
