S60 3rd edition installation problem

I installed S60 3rd edition SDK on my Vista PC.Then i knew I had to install Perl b4 installing S60.So i uninstalled SDK & installed PERL.Then i try installing S60 from the Zip file downloaded but when i click on SETUP.EXE it does not respond.This has been going on for 2 days.I tried cleaning up TEMP folders but to no use.Guys,Can u pls help me in installing
S60 on my PC.Thanx in advance.

S60 3rd edition SDK and Vista is not good combination in general. ;)

If you are playing for the first time then I would suggest you to start with this blog: S60 SDK and tools on Windows Vista - a success story

If that blog doesn't help then you should go with this Wiki article: Moving to Windows Vista

Before taking one step further, I would recommend you to look into this Wiki article thoroughly: How do I start programming for Symbian OS?

Make sure that you have picked up right version of S60 3rd edition SDK. It should be S60 3rd MR if you intend for S60 3rd edition.
