Manage -5120 Error Code

Hello guys,

Sometimes i received this error code for HTTP requests i have made, searching the SDK help, i got some documentation for this error:

HttpExampleClient.exe reports error -5120 

This error indicates that the URL cannot be resolved to an IP address.
This is usually caused by a problem with DNS; either the location of the DNS server is incorrectly specified or there is no DNS server. 

If using a statically allocated DNS address, 
check that the value in your comms database's LANService table is correct for
your network.

Trying to check my URL from an Internet Browser,, it is successfully working.
Trying to ping on this URL, it is working also.

I have no idea actually, but i wonder if someone can help me, Any guidelines or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Windows reports that there is an IP address conflict
The likely cause is that the (static) IP address of your emulator is the same as that of your computer. This will not occur if your IP addresses are dynamically allocated.

The solution is to ensure that the emulator is allocated a unique IP address in the LANService table of the comms database configuration file.

Well, if you got this error description from the SDK, for the sake of luck, this documentation was for another Error Code!

Last point, i got this error when i test my application on the real device not on the emulator


Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I think the problem is that IP is that the ip retrieval from the device as you told has some problem, might be a c32 problem. Can you try formatting your phone and try again with your application, if it is a testing hardware..

I'm interested to have proper configuration to the hardware..
