    Hi,

I have a verisign certificate after signing my sms app,
i installed on my e51. The "always allowed" option for messaging
does not appear but appear for other permissions like read and write.

Subsequently, I used my friend's 6210 to try and the "always allowed" option for messaging is there for this phone.

How do I get the "always allowed" option for messaging to appear on E51??

Hi icemochi and welcome to the Forum Nokia Discussion Boards

Unfortunately this setting is not available for S60 3rd Edition FP1 phones
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...2C_S60_3rd_FP1
    (referenced from this page http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...curity_Domains)

hmmm... I need to update the wiki page to include settings from S60 3rd Edition FP2 devices as well...

S60 platform security, which the Symbian apps are using, is separate (and different) from Java ME security.
In this case: yes. Sending SMS messages belongs under the 5 basic capabilities (http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/plat...criptions.html
    and
    http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/tech..._granting.html )
