Collect freeform text

QUESTION 1:
I would like to create an application that collects freeform text from the user. When the user selects an element from Options menu, it should trigger entering text in a text box.

For e.g, when the user selects the web icon from the emulator, it opens up a text box where text can be entered. I would like to implement something like this and place that element in the Options menu.

I tried searching the Options Menu API classes but could not find a specific function.

Please help as to how this can be implemented.

QUESTION 2:
What is the way to check if the device supports bluetooth connectivity through an application? Is there a function that I can call in order to get the state of the device (i.e whether bluetooth enabled or not)?

QUESTION 3:
Is there any special consideration that needs to be made when I develop applications for the Nokia E70?? Any additional parameters that I would need to pass in order to develop appplications for the E70???

Hi,
For your first question:
Yes you can have such a feature. You can define the action for your Menu options in your HandleCommandl() of your AppUi class where you can invoke a dialog using any avkon dialog class for e.g: CAknQueryDialog

Second Question:
You can find the state of Bluetooth whether it is On or Off using CenRep keys
CRepository *crepository = CRepository::NewL(KCRUidBluetoothPowerState);
TInt BluetoothStatus=0;
User::LeaveIfError( crepository->Get(KBTPowerState, BluetoothStatus) );

Third Question:
Its a very vague question that you have asked.Can you mention in details what exaclty are you looking for developing in E70??
