    Hi,

I have a midlet that connects to a server on the internet after every 5 seconds. The midlet network settings have been set to “Ask only once”. Thus the security prompt appears once and after that the midlet automatically keeps connecting to the network after every 5 seconds without any security prompts.

This application will run all the time, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

    My question is:
If the mobile network itself goes down for afew seconds and when it is up again, will the midlet ask for network permission?

    Hi,

Just wanted to add that the application will be running on Nokia N95 and Nokia E90 Communicator.

In theory, no, it won't ask again unless you change the sim card. You can easily test this scenario, but setting your midlet to work, and while it does it, you switch to "Offline" profile, then back to "General". That you give you the definitive answer.
