Send SMS via AT Command with Java

Hello I have developed a small application where I use javax.comm to send AT commands to my serial port (where a nokia 6310i is connected via cable). I use the command AT+CMGS="+49170xxxxxxx",145<CR>messagetext<CTRL-Z> what I don't know is how to encode the <CTRL-Z>??? Does anyone have any expirience with this?? Thanks for any help. baumi
