Server MTM - CreateEntry

Hi,

I developed a MTM. When I call CreateEntry there is an audible sound that a new message has arrived in the inbox. Can this sound be suppressed? Do I need to set some flag?

I assume the Message Application produces the sound as it gets notified about the new message arrival?

I think inbox will always make the sound for any message that is marked as a new one. Anyway, you could try making your own messaging inbox folder, then I suppose the sound would not come automatically.

At least with Email messaging you don't get it, is you make the message as old & read first, and then just modify these values later to show that is is non-read.

thanks for this hint. I have my own mailbox and I create the entries as SetNew( EFalse ). However I do not set the entries as "Read". I will try that.

Note that these are two different things for some reason: there is a TMsvEntry::SetNew and there is a TMsvEntry::SetUnread too.
