getting user's number

If the user requests a wml page from
your site is their anyway to retrieve
their mobile number or any other
unique identifier associated with the SIM?
Is this a third-party solution or does
one have to be a trusted provider?

As far as I know it is not possible to get the number because it would violate the security of the phone. (Thats an explanation I have from else where).
