Connecting 6100 to a laptop via infrared

Hello everybody!

I bought a Nokia 6100 today and I tried to connect it to my laptop (Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo D). I installed Pc-suite software. My computer recognizes the phone and make e connection to it for 5 seconds, then the connection ends. After a while it do the same. I cannot connect the 6100 to my computer and I wonder why.
Does anybody wanna help me with this little information provided, it would be great!!
