    Hi all
We use MS Visual studio.NET2003 + carbide2 c++ + SDK 2nd,fp3. We built Btdiscovery example selecting solution config: "Deb_S60_23_WINSCW" without problems. But when we select "Release" it does not work and response is "SDK for build configuration Release is not installed. The build will probably fail."
    What problem is here?
    thanks all

You are using Carbide.vs, not Carbide.c++ therefore this is a more appropriate forum for your question.

If by "Release" you mean Rel_S60_23_WINSCW then such configuration does not exist indeed, the SDK does not deliver the release version of the WINSCW binaries.

Use the THUMB or ARMI release configurations, they are building the application for running it on device. SIS building will likely be part of the build process but you need to make sure that the PKG file is up to date.

It must be years since I've last tried Carbide.vs so I'm afraid I can't help much.

Here's an old post indicating that you should be paying attention when importing the project: http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...ad.php?t=76009

What about GCCE UREL? That is a target specific to S60 3rd Edtion and later, you do not have support for it on S60 2nd Edition FP3

It is not about knowing / not knowing. There is no GCCE target in Symbian 6-7-8 / S60 1st and 2nd editions.

You can try from command prompt as well.

    Code:
    abld build thumb urel
    or

    Code:
    abld build armi urel
See what it says after executing above line.
