Emulator to use modem for connectivity

Hi,

How does one go about setting up the emulator (SDK 3rd ed. MR) to use the connection created with Nokia PC Suite and phone for internet connectivity instead of the local area network connection through ethernet port?

Which emulator are you talking about? Since S60 3rd Edition the emulator uses the Winsock so it can utilise whatever connection method is available to the host operating syste. No extra settings needed, except maybe for the proxy settings ...

3rd edition MR SDK. And you are right it does work without changing any settings. I checked this using the emulator Services program. For some reason I was unable to use the Winsock IAP successfully from my own application when it was connected through the modem.
