Question about RDA - E71 and E90 numeric mode

Hi bloodredsky,

Do you know why the E71 and E90 are stuck in numeric mode?
There's nothing I can do to change it back to alpha mode -
even the long # keypress doesn't toggle back to alpha-mode.

btw, would youhappen to know what the iscancode, icode and
imodifier values are to launch the symom map on teh E71?

ONly the E61 has the chr key to launch the symbol map.
The same key is missing from the E71 virtual keypad so I can't
launch the symbol map at all .

Hello,

there is a bug related to the CHR-key. On these devices you'll need to input the non-numeric values using a PC keyboard rather than the onscreen keyboard.(I've reported this to RDA developers earlier)

And sorry, don't have an answer for the iscancode, icode and
imodifier values. You might have better luck at asking this in Symbian C++ boards.

I did, ..weeks ago..
..but they all ran away screaming in horror!..
..arms flailing wildly like kermit the frog..
..eyes wide open in terror..

I haven't heard from them since.
Maybe it's something I said..?

Is this still an issue? Any work arounds? Just need to get a capital alphabet..any suggestions? (have already tried combinations of caps lock, shift , number keys, etc on PC keyboard.
