Nokia 6131 SDK with ACR122 Reader

Hi,

I have read in many places that Nokia 6131 NFC SDK only works with Omnikey as the external Reader.

I have an ACR122 reader and want to make it work with the Nokia 6131 SDK.

Q1.
Is it possible that this could be done if I (re)implement some of the classes in the SDK that would help me talk to an ACR122 reader ?

Q2.
Which part of the SDK is tied to the Omnikey reader ? (I see some
*Impl classes in the jars like NDEFTagConnectionImpl, are these implementations the ones that binds it to Omnikey reader ?)

Q3.
Is it a worthwhile exercise to even try making the SDK work with readers other than Omnikey ?

Omnikey support is hardcoded in 6131 NFC SDK.
There is no way to extend it. However you can take 6212 NFC SDK which contain NFC Manager and you can extend _that_ if you know how to write Java apps with some C/C++ injections. SDK contains a very nice example of how to add support of other readers to it.

Thanks for the info. It was very useful. I do see that the 6212 SDK
has some external reader plugin example.

I also start looking at implementing acr122 reader plugin, lets see if I get anything working.
