Update Error: UID of the application is Changed

Hi ,

I have written & installed an application with a UID on symbian 9.x devices.
Now I have changed the UID of the application and the capability set as well. Now my application is not getting installed on the devices which are having the earlier version installed. and shows the update error.

I dont want to remove the earlier version, manually. I want to get it upgrade as standard symbian programatic ways only. Please help me in resolving out this problem asap.

but my question is, i have even changed my UID of the application and capability set too.

It is no way, you must need uninstall old version.

According to this thread, this error can also occur if you are using the same resources (same dlls, same rsc files).
