Hi

I am new to j2me but I have experience in java, my latest task is to make a program that deletes some file from both internal flash and SD flash on symbian OS mobiles only,

How do I access files in J2me midlets? and is the same io api work as in j2se?

To access files in Java ME you can use the FileConnection API (JSR-75).

Adding to bogdan.galiceanu , to access the filesystem in j2me you have to use FileConnection API (JSR-75) and for your second question This same API will not work in j2se.

As a side note: using FileConnection API you'll not have access to all folders, but only to public ones. So, you could not be able to delete all content on external memory if some of this is contained into private folders.
