    nokia support 3 ide.
carbide.c++, it is nokia recommend ide. it is base on eclipse.

vs, use carbide.vs plugin, it is very common ide.

and CodeWarrior, nokia will not support this IDE. but it is best on debug.

If by Visual C++ you mean the free "Microsoft Visual C++ [year] Express Edition" then the answer is no, that IDE is not supported.

No, he said 7, whatever that is. There is no Visual Studio 2007 either but, while the latest Carbide.c++ plug-in was released for Visual Studio 2005 you can only guess that it might still work with Visual Studio 2008 too. Try it.

What do you want to have tested? Carbide.vs 3.0.1 was released before the release of VS 2008 and thus it was targeted at (and tested with) what was then the latest VS version, the 2005.

Since then, the tool might have been tested by developers with VS 2008 but I don't remember seeing any results posted here. Do let us know about your test results if you don't mind.

As said already, it was tested with VS 2005, it might give you errors. But developers have also got it worked for 2008. You can read this whole thread and see if that helps.

    Well,ive seen that thread already.
You said developers had also got it worked for 2008.I found only one post in your link about that.It was written in january. The member says he mangaged to edit the .msi installer and the 'registry' and get it worked. However,he doesnt explain in detail.Another reply asked to tell in detail what was changed in the msi and registry, but nobody answered that.

Then better we should stick with Release notes of the plug-in. If it explicitly says that it works for 2005 then it will work for that. You can play with it and if you get it working for 2008 then help others. :(
