5th edition is missing Music Player Remote Control API (MMPlayerRemoteControl) ?

We are porting an app which uses the Music Player Remote Control API (MMPlayerRemoteControl) to S60 5th edition, for the 5800.

As far as I can tell, the device doesn't support MMPlayerRemoteControl, and doesn't have mplayerremotecontrol.lib.

Is there any other solution for communicating with the built-in media player ?

Hi,

As far as I can tell this API was in the SDK API plug-in pack for 3rd FP1 and then not in FP2? The plug-in pack is yet to be released for 5th edition but this API has already been requested for use in Mobbler. It probably wouldn't hurt to register another interest on the feedback thread though:
