    No. Only on Symbian phones.

    Thanks for the reply. I am developing an app that will receive a sms and store it to a text file in phone's memory. At the same time that sms must also be stored in the inbox. Is it possible using push registry?

    No, it is not possible, if you're targeting Series 40 phones (because there is no Inbox access from J2ME).

    But inbox is the default location. I don't want to interrupt the default working I just want to record it in a text file as soon as it is received. Any other way out??

    No way out. If you want to capture the SMS in Java, there is no way to get it to go to the Inbox, too. If the SMS goes to the Inbox, there is no way to get to the SMS. Accept the fact.
