MVideoPlayerUtilityObserver + error code -12000

Hi all,

I am getting this error code at MvpuoPrepareComplete() while trying to stream video on emulator. After searching i got that it means

KErrMMNotEnoughBandwidth . But I can stream same video on my pc with same network .

Should i increase my emulator bandwidth.if yes how i can do it.

Or i have to install any extension plugins. I am using s60 3rd edition sdk.

Hi,

I've never tried streaming to the emulator, there's no reason I know of why it shouldn't work. I believe the RealPlayer does active bandwidth control so it might be getting a bad measurement from somewhere.

If you can fix this then the config is in:
%EPOCROOT%\epoc32\release\winscw\udeb\z\resource\rnenginedefault.cfg

It's got significantly more complex since I last had to do any configuration in there for a phone so you're probably best off just having a look and a tinker with the values - you should be able to switch off the auto mode but I don't know what bearer the emulator claims to have when asked.

I have the same problem.
This morning, I can play a video which is on a streaming server using my program, but this afternoon, I can't. When I debug it, I find that, in MvpuoPrepareComplete(TInt aError) function, the parameter aError=-12000.
I don't know how to solve the problem, Can you help me? Thank you!
