S60 5th Edition VOIP support

Hi,

Can any one confirm the support of VOIP in the S60 5th edition (5800 xpressmusic)

if the SIP stack is supported but missing the VOIP client what would be the best Developing enviroment to develop that client in terms of resources availability, difficulty and perofmance

Hi All,

does any one know whether somebody is developing the SIP VOIP for the Symbian S60 5th edition. If there is anyone developing it, does anyone know the date of its release?
I've got my Nokia 5800 hoping that VOIP will working but unfortunately it couldn't work with the vbuzzer.

So I'm playing around with my new 5800 and can successfully configure a SIP connection (registration) to my provider, but there's no VOIP client software on this phone! Just downloaded Fring, but I'd hate to have to install 3rd party app if there's some native software to do this. Any suggestions?

Fring installed, works OK. Allows only one VOIP configuration at a time, and if I switch I have to retype my account info again - basically it doesn't use the SIP connection account I set up in the phone.

Open to suggestions for any other VOIP software for the S60. Thanks!

Dear all
I could configure sip settings on nokia 5800 and it registerd to 3cx server seccessfully. but there is no sip client to use on it. i installed fring but it cannot connet to our 3cx server. is there any speciall settings on fring?

Since you are new this developer forum, it would be useful to search the existing posts on the topic and see what discussion has already ensued. The short answer to your question is that up to firmware v40 there is no native VOIP client on the 5800. Third party applications mentioned here and on the peer forums (not Forum Nokia) are your best bet for further discussions.
