unable to build qt s60 emulator

Carbide C++ 2.0 is unbale to locate the

various h files of Qt like
the file 'QtGui/QDialog' cannot be opened
though i have configured the path Preferences->QT
Added
E:\qt-embedded-s60-opensource-src-4.4.2-pyramid\bin
E:\qt-embedded-s60-opensource-src-4.4.2-pyramid\include .

still its unable to find the defined libraries.
Though i have configured qt successfully .

qt-embedded-s60-commercial-src-4.4.4-temple

But this time winscw QtGUi.lib is missing ..all library gives are for gcce & armv ..we cannot chk on emulator ..

Hi,
you need to build for winscw. Please follow the installation instructions carefully,
one resource to check is Qt for S60 Developer’s Library (online version & Carbide plugin)

i have downloaded

qt-embedded-s60-commercial-src-4.4.4-temple.zip
there i could find QtGui.lib for winscw ..all u get after extracting qtlibs-4.4.4-temple.exe is only for armv & gcce not for winscw.
i too have downloaded the earlier version
qt-embedded-s60-opensource-src-4.4.2-pyramid

there also the same thing the lib present are for phone builds.Still searching for winscw libs for qt.

As Jack said, you need to build the libraries for WINSCW, they are not provided in the package.

If you follow the install instructions for the pre-release it tells you how to build the libraries for WINSCW.

i have used

to configure it
do u mean i have to configure for

Keep reading from there in the instructions.

After configuring you also have build for winscw if you want to use the emulator.

Directly from the installation instructions provided with the Temple release (C:\Qt\4.4.4-temple\INSTALL file)

Note the step 5,
bldmake bldfiles
abld build winscw udeb

3. Environment variables

In order to build and use Qt, the PATH environment variable needs
to be extended:

PATH - to locate qmake, moc and other Qt tools

This is done by adding c:\Qt\4.4.4-temple\bin to the PATH variable.

On Windows the PATH can be extended by navigating to
"Control Panel->System->Advanced->Environment variables".

4. Configure Qt

To configure Qt for S60, do:

cd \Qt\4.4.4-temple
configure -platform win32-mwc -xplatform symbian-abld -qconfig symbian

For other options, type "configure -help" to get a list of all available
options.

5. Build Qt

The Qt libraries comes pre-built for real devices. To install them,
execute qtlibs-4.4.4-temple.exe included in this package. Follow the
install instructions and navigate to the root directory of the S60 SDK
you are using. For example: C:\Symbian\9.2\S60_3rd_FP1_2\

To build Qt for the emulator, type:

bldmake bldfiles
abld build winscw udeb

Congratulations, Qt is now ready to use.

but for build it i am using Carbide c++ 2.0 ..
and its build configuration is winscw..its giving me the error QtGui.lib not found.

No, not build your project, build Qt libraries. It's best that you do this from the command line as explained in the instructions.

There is no problem with using Carbide.c++ 2.0 to build your application but you have to build the libraries from the command line first.

I am also tryin Qt for s60.I ma Building For 5th edition but getting following error.

I have tried to figure out why I also get the QtGui.lib error when compiling.. After som investigation I realized that the qt-emulator libararies has not been built correctly although I followed the install instructions.after reading another thread I realized that my paths was wrong.

A tip for others who follow the install instruction but do not get it to work - see if the qt-library build gives any errors (you might have to scroll up to see them) and maybe following thread will help
