I can't install Perl 5.6 in my Windows Vista box

I've downloaded ActivePerl-5.6.1.638-MSWin32-x86 and tried to install it in Windows Vista. The msi package shows the following error

There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.


The .bat that runs the installation in the zipped package shows this

Can't spawn "c:\Perl/bin/perl.exe": No error at Installer.bat line 211, <> line

Couldn't config c:\Perl/lib/config.pm: at Installer.bat line 211, <> line 5.

Is there any other way to install this version of perl in windows vista?

You can try what happens if you right-click and "Run as Administrator".
