    Hi all,
I am trying to develop a USSD client application /S60/, but I have some problem.

    1) I need to prevent showing the default USSD. I managed to get the USSD response but the default USSD still appears.

    2) I can't send a 'close USSD session' signal to the network. I found the "SendRelease" function under EtelMM API (RMobileUssdMessaging) but it's is not well documented and it crashes my application.

    3) I managed to send USSD via AT commands but I have some problem sending via EtelMM API. The error code is (-6 An argument is out of range). This API is not well documented and it is difficult to resolve this problem.

I will appreciate any help on these problems.
    Thanks in advance
    BR,
    Zoran Zlatanov

I at least can answer the question 1, and the answer is that you can not stop the standard not to be shown, it is build in feature which AFAIK can not be disabled.

    Hi Paul.Todd , symbianyucca

    Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the suggestion for using FP2, but for the moment SDK for FP2
is not available for downloading (from: http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.n...16-3.0-mr.html)

Only "Extensions Plug-in for S60 3rd Edition SDK for Symbian OS, Feature Pack 2" can be downloaded,
but without appropriate SDK, these plugins do not work.

In CPhCltUssd.h file, I can find only methods for sending USSD messages, but it is not clear how
USSD response can be read, or how USSD session (with many requests and responses) can be implemented with this API.

So, for the moment, we can just wait for this API to become available and to support full USSD sessions
and to continue trying to use AT and EtelMM API.

    BR,
    Zoran

Starting with S60 3rd FP2 there are no separate Symbian C++ and MIDP SDK-s, so you have to head towards the "Download all-in-one S60 SDKs" when you are approaching the download from "Tools" above.
