    hi all ..

i'm a newbie J2ME programmer .. i have a project where i need to access the inbox of mobile phones. In case of S60 platform mobile phones(which uses Symbian operating system), I can use Symbian C++ and MIDlet to access inbox . However, in case of Series 40 platform like Nokia 5200 which has Nokia Standard operating system(not Symbian OS), how can I write native functions so that I can access the inbox. I mean like Symbian C++, are there any other languages I can use to write native functions for mobile phones like Nokia 5200. We can't use Symbian C++ for all the mobile phones isn't so ?? Please !! help me

    Regards

    hi Ron ..

    Thanks for the reply ...

actually i am well aware that Series 40 mobile phones don't use C++ (being specific Symbian C++) ... however after some research i came to the conclusion that s40 mobile phone can run applications developed in Java ME i.e... MIDlets and Flash lite (for s40 3rd edition and all editions after this). So, there are no other languages for development of native applications in s40 series mobile phones. This means we cannot access inbox messages in these phones.

Please correct me if I'm wrong ????

Thanks and Regards for Series s40 native application development

There's no native C++ (or other progamming language) development environment/tools available for accessing the Inbox in S40 based phones.
