Does tag Nokia-MIDlet-App-Orientation: landscape/portrait not works on phones?
For example on Nokia 5800 midlet with "Nokia-MIDlet-App-Orientation: landscape" in JAD NOT ignore phone rotation. Is it bug?

As I hinted earlier we are now adding a support for MIDlets to force an orientation. This will be available from S60 5th Edition devices but we’ll deliver it to earlier platform release devices too. MIDlet’s just need to add JAD/manifest attribute Nokia-MIDlet-App-Orientation with values portrait or landscape. If the attribute is undefined then MIDlet needs to support dynamic orientation switching or it will not work properly in all devices.
}
Hm... "just need to add JAD/manifest attribute Nokia-MIDlet-App-Orientation with values portrait or landscape"... It very logical and simple, but it's not work on real s60 5th device. And Nokia won't give simple answer that 1. yes, it's bug 2. yes, we will fix it in next firmware. It's their work - support developers.
There is now a wiki entry "Fixed landscape mode cannot be set by using Java ME in Nokia 5800 XpressMusic", which I think answers your question.
Cheers,
Graham.

This Known Issue will be updated in near future regarding the sw version for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic from which the defined attribute is supported in the device.
