large webservice response gives EOFException

I developed a j2me app which interacts with my webservice. The app runs fine on S60 emulator 3rd edition initial release which matches with the symbina OS version 9.1 of my nokia E65. The app have a problem in reading the response when I run on the mobile. The response size is of 50kb. I am getting EOFException. The app worked fine for a small size response.

Is there a limit because of memory?

this sounds like something that could be wrong in your code related to response reading. Try posting that code for further insights.

Another guess: do you set the Content-Length header on server side, when sending the response data to client?
