    Hi,

Anyone interested in a free developer event on Saturday 17th January?

We'll be getting hands on with the Temple pre-release.

If you'd like to come along please get in touch today (Monday 5th) or tomorrow (Tuesday 6th) as I need to confirm numbers for the catering (yup that's free food too!).

For more details please see this page on the SDN Wiki:
    https://developer.symbian.com/wiki/p...geId=119701511

Looking forward to seeing you there!

    Hi Kamal,

I'm afraid I've got no plans to repeat the event in India myself. I'm sure Forum Nokia will be holding some Qt on S60 events in India in the not too distant future though.

    Hi,
I'll update these forums once I know the dates and times of coming developer events that will deal with Qt. Most likely we're talking about P3 or P4 once the next release ("beta") is out.

    Cheers,
    Jack

The event is confirmed now and the venue will still let us add a few more people to the catering numbers (until Wednesday 14th) if anyone else would like to join us?

Sadly we don't quite have the technology in place for such things on this occasion. I hope that we will be able to in the future though.

P.S. Final numbers are now confirmed and there are no more places for the physical event.

Would be nice if our member profiles could have bigger mailboxes. You could just post the video & drop it in our boxes, - think door-step newspaper style ! ..

Hmmm, I don't think I'll get quite the result required if I try to prop my N96 up at the back of the room. Still a bit short of manpower and equipment, even for this relatively low-tech solution. Sorry!

If you have a portable tv, you could connect the tv-out cables of the n96 and then switch the n96 to camera mode. The tv would give a better view output - for possible recording.
Or if a "wireless solution" where possible.
What about using something like 'qik' for live-video-streaming ?

Yes, it's technically possible but not practical on this occassion.

Or you could take lots of pictures of the event and turn them into something like a flashlite slideshow or flip-book for mobile devices. .

Unfortunately I can't both present and take the pictures, which is what I mean about lack of people!

    David, have you seen this:

Nathan is a great guy - he can probably let you know more about what he's doing in Nigeria and how you could get your University involved.
