    Hi everybody,

I am getting problem dimmed background or something like that. see images below for more info.

I edited my themes carbide 3.4, but when I installed it in my phone, background goes non-transparent while pressing option key.

    best regards,

    dhanusaud, before packaging your theme, change S60 5th to S60 3rd FP2
    --->
    And then package your theme.

I am afraid Dedushka, becoz I edit maximum elements for 5th edition. Compiling theme after changing base graphics from 5th to FP2 sounds kinda wired. I edited maximum elements for 5th edition in carbide but I think compiling in FP2, some elements will be missed. Not sure but I think so.

You must change the following settings:

resources > colours> fade black map --> put it black! (its white as default)

Not working, try to put another color at "screen dimming color" or "background color, HW..."

Already tested , this trick doesn't helps me buddy. it turns into solid color, non-transparent.

As so many things in carbide, i don't know why, but when I put a light color it goes transparent, and when I put a dark color it turns solid. I had to modify every color and test to discover. And I found out that this three colors I said were changing the way it appears. Try to change to white and light colors and put at background and screen dimming the same light color. No working, I suggest you to change all colors and generate a test theme to discover.

    Hello,
Not sure if this will help but i've been successful with the following values:
    COLOURS/MAIN PANE
Fade Black Map: set this to a light grey.
Fade White Map: set this to black.
Screen dimming colour: set this to whatever colour you want that matches your theme but seems to work best with a lighter colour.

Once you have these settings (and if these are working for you), if you find that the area is now too transparent, just make Fade Black Map darker.

I'm still not completely sure what changing the Fade White Map actually does but will update this post if I figure it out.

    Hope this helps,

    Steph

On my 5530 I had problems like this. So what I did is this.

Fade Black Map: set this to a Black
Fade White Map: set light gray
Screen dimming colour: set this to white.

This is for people who get negatives. It works perfectly!
