    Hello

    I search ppi/dpi for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. There is nothing about it on device page, where can i find this information ?

    The screen resolution is 640x360 pixels in landscape, and the display is 3.2"; that's enough to calculate ppi (dpi applies more to printing/paper than LCDs, doesn't it?)

    allright, thanks

    yes, i think that dpi is for printing but it's often use for web too

    Anyway, here's a wikipedia article on how to calculate the ppi from the data I gave you:

    The actual pixel format/layout of the physical display probably has some effect on the accuracy of the algorithm in the above article.

    This dpi/ppi calculator tends to work quite well. http://www.raydreams.com/prog/dpi.aspx
    I'm not sure how accurate it actually is but you can at least use it to approximate and subsequently compare ppi amongst different devices.

    On devices, dpi mostly has an impact on design as fonts and graphics will display at different sizes given different pixel densities. This article provides additional examples:
