Symbian API to call a call back function

Hi all,
Dose symbian provide some API or expose static fiction which calls a call back function after time out.
for example :
symbianfuction(timeout,callbackfuncion);
calling thread should not block on calling symbianfuction and callbackfuntion should be called after timeout.

Nope, but you could check Wiki for nice timeout timer examples, or check the one that is inside the sockets example in the SDK.
