    I'm using the S60 emulator

I went to utilities and then route to trace a 'fictitious route' on a map.In theory I should be able to plug in the coordinates in the left top and right bottom of the screen and all the coordinates within the square would match those coordinates. However, after I click on load scale, and started the points on the route, the coordinates that were fed back were completely off scale. My coordinates were 14.20928402 and 50.992839273 and I got feedback from points like 70, 115, -4 etc.

What am I doing wrong? How do I get the correct coordinates along the route.

    Thanks

    Julie Waldman

There is a known bug in the Route generator tool and apparently it hasn't been fixed yet. Sorry.

Is there a workaround or another tool I can use to simulate a route. Short of going somewhere and walking the route to enable simulation what other options do I have.

    Thanks.

I've done a quick search but could't find a similar tool. Maybe I wasn't lucky enough so do try Google a bit more.

Walking on a certain path and recording raw GPS data to be then played back in the emulator/device is one option. See the NMEAXmit - a NMEA dumper for S60 3rd Edition designed with such use case in mind.

Thanks for your help - are there other forums that I can ask?

    Here's one tool that I've found: http://avangardo.com/gps/gpsgen/
A trial version is available, try it and see if you find it satisfactory.

Any LBS focused forum could contain info about similar tool. Try http://lbszone.com/ and of course http://nn4d.com
