Self Signing Application

Hi all

I need help in signing app for testing on target devices

The application i create in Carbide C++

It creates the SIS files and the self sign files

But this signed file could not be installed on the Target device

I use the open signed symbian site and lock the SIS with IMEI

and download the signed file and install in my target handset

Is this the only way to install in the Handset ... Mine is a S60 3rd Fp1

Please advice me a simpler method so that i can sign the file myself and install in the Target Handset device

Please help me out in this..

I m wasting huge amount of time in Signing the app and waiting for the site to send me a signed build

Please advice me a method

I use all kind of operation

Readuserdata Writeuserdata NetworkServices etc

With these do you feel that i cannot use a self signed app to be installed in the Target Device?

Please suggest me a simple method

I get Certificate error when i install self signed application

The set of capabilities you can use for a self-signed release are well documented, so is the UID range that you can use. As a reminder see Platform Security and Symbian Signed.
