Good question Kamal, I think in the beginning OVI would be targeting the Companies. As per the information from OVI, there are large number of application pending for the approval of account. So they may give priority to Companies/Organizations.

I would request for some expert comment here!

Initially, we are only able to support companies through the Ovi Publish system at this time. This would mean a sole proprietorship, partnership, or corporation who has a VAT/TAX ID that can be verified.

Our ambitions are to open the system up to individuals as well and we are working through those details.

Thanks pcstanton, but at the time of registration OVI does not ask for VAT/TAX ID. How will they approve the registration application just with the name of the Company/Organisation?

Keep in mind that your application has to be Symbian Signed or Java Verified anyway. Only businesses can get a Symbian Signed Publisher ID, and I am pretty sure the same holds true for Java Verified.
