Are there API's to filter mp3 songs to different frequency.

i just wanted to develop dj like application.
so wanted to know wether there are any supports provided to filter a song
to certain frequency. Like i can avoid the high frequency music and keep just the vocal for play.
Can anybody add any pointers to this!

As far as I know, there are no ready-made APIs to filter out specific frequencies from within an MP3 file. You have to write that logic yourself.
