What may be the cause? Is there any way of obtaining the file like this one, or should I arrange the data myself?
It might have something to do with your Windows locale settings (i.e. how numbers, dates, currency). In some Windows country-specific locales, the .csv column separator commas are understood as the number decimal points. Check the settings in Windows' Control Panel. The .csv works OK with US locale.

We should have a new N8 version available in Ovi Store during this month.

Can you add it on Nokia Forum as well please, as Ovi store is not really working on N8 (i.e. I can't login, although I could in the past and I can do it on other phones)?

    Thank you

    Hi!

Since I have seen the use of NEP in many papers and I have also used it for research purposes, I was wondering how NEP works. Does it use any hardware power measuring component of the phone? I mean, for example, in Linux ACPI uses information given by the lowest layers. Is there any document or explanation about the architecture of NEP?

Thank you very much in advance!

    Hi,
When will the update for S60 5th ver. be published. For that tough device has no keyboard, leading to no hotkeys while some figures can only be activated by hotkeys. And in the instruction c key and pen key is mentioned but since later 3th, we no longer have such keys......

    Hallo,

I´ve installed battery monitor and energy profiler on my N8. No current measure possible in Energy profiler:No measuring possible.Measuring reserved by another application.
So I deinstalled both and reinstalled only energy profiler, but I have the same problem!
    Greetings from Austria!

Battery Monitor widget uses same API for power measurements and measures current constantly. The problem is that the API supports only one app (or "client") for measurements. Sadly there is no quick fix for users who want to use both NEP and Battery Monitor.

To get NEP working again when Battery Monitor installed:
    1) Uninstall Battery Monitor app.
    2) Uninstall NBM Service and NBM Installer (note: uninstalling NBM Installer might fail).
    3) Reboot.
    4) Now NEP should work again.

Nokia Energy Profiler is now also available for N8 (and Symbian^3) devices:

Is there some open API functions to create an application such as NEP?
I want to get current wattage(W) or amperage(mA) of my phone. Is it possible?

NEP offers such API, although it is not overemphasized, on the page http://www.forum.nokia.com/Library/T...ergy_Profiler/ you can find a link "External APIs" (near to the end of paragraph "What can I do with the Nokia Energy Profiler?").

Please note that API usage requires NEP app to be running in background. Currently there are no direct Symbian APIs, sorry.

    API doc: Nokia_Energy_Profiler_API_v1.2.pdf
    API page: http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.n...rnal_APIs.html

You can also make your own data views and NEP plots the data real time on screen.

    Two questions:

    1. Is there any way to see a marker or screenshot on the exported CSV file? (e.g., while executing NEP I would like to take specific screenshots of my application's execution and then after exporting the CSV file, analyze the specific lines between screenshots taken)

    2. Is there any way to use NEP external apis with J2ME? Has anyone done something for this?

    Thanks for the help.
