How to add an tag to music file?

I use CMdaAudioPlayerUtility to play music, and I know the function GetMetaDataEntryL can read tags, if exist I can use SetValue to modify the tag, but I cann't find a class or function to add another tag which is not exist, I can new an object of CMMFMetaDataEntry, does anyone know how to add it to a music file.

I have not seen any APIs within Symbian for adding metadata to music files, so at least public SDKs are not including them.

Yes, Even I have not seen. you can use some editors to edit the tags. For example, for mp3 the tags are called ID3 tags and there are tools to edit the tags.You can google out for the same.

S60 does not provide public API to read/write metadata of mp3 files.probably you need to write your own library to perform such operation.
