Detecting shapes

Hi all
I want to detect objects in the view-finder and draw a rectangle over the detected object.
I want to detect all the objects which are rectangle in shape. Is this possible using python ?
In this case objects are fixed and the camera is scanning the scene.

Kumar, I think it is possible, but may be slow. You will need to implement some algorithm for detection and check the performance. Please, consider the option of writing an extension in C++ as well.
