How to add Facebook to my Application.

Hellow all,

I m new to symbian.. In my application i want to integrate facebook (like Fring app.),

Can any one help me, how can i get Http request and response in Xml format.

How can I interact with facebook server.

Pls help me out in this problem.

I think it would be easier to start with WRT Widgets, some rest exmaples can be found from the wiki: http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...th_WRT_widgets

Anyway, if you want to do it with Symbian, then you could start with the HTTP example and modify it for making the REST quesries, though I have not checked if facebook has normal HTTP::GET style interface or not.

I got good knowledge with ur replay. i get register in developer.facebook.com and i got one Api key and one secret key on my application name.

But the problem is how to use these keys to log in process.

If u have any info. regarding this pls help me out.

That one you have to check from the facebook's develop sites, basically 3rd party services have their own ways on doing stuff, and most often they hav etheir own developer suppor sites, so do check what they have in there..

As Per i Understand you need to send the xml data using http Post to the FAce book server.Which in response sends you back the data in xml containg information needed. You need to parse that data on your side and display the inforamtion as per needed.

But there should be a web service running on face book server which provide you Xml data on your request.

I think your assumptions are correct, but as said you should verify it from the Facebook's developer site.
